Last week in London RobertsonCooper www.robertsoncooper.com delivered a conference on mental well-being in the workplace. Having recently completed a research MA on the topic of workplace well-being it was interesting to see how well-being is currently being absorbed by the HR delegates who largely made up the audience. Coming from a balanced academic and 'best practice' standpoint, the conference offered a broad and interesting overview of the topic which was both intelligible and accessible. The speakers were of a very high calibre and I was particularly delighted to see Goldsmiths University's Professor Bond on the discussion panel. Among other key proponents of the field such as Corey Keyes and Cary Cooper, his resarch is refreshingly accessible; helping to make this convoluted area of enquiry increasing relevant and accessible to mainstream audiences. All round, a very good day indeed.
